If you want to find my key demo you should meet Amanda. You’ll see her story elsewhere on this site
Her smartphone is the first thing she touches when she wakes up and the last thing she puts down (and puts on charge) when she goes to bed. The viewer who takes hundreds of photos with her smartphone, uses her computer to look up news and how-to’s. Who goes to the internet to research big purchases, looks for bargains and how to make money. The woman who stays connected with her extended family over e-mail and Facebook. The viewer who makes many of the buying decisions for the family.
Each and every “What the Tech?” story must be interesting and relevant to her and her family.
Of course, she isn’t the only person who uses consumer technology in the family. Her kids download apps and play games and take photos. Her husband does the same.
“What the Tech?” isn’t a ‘technology’ segment. It’s a ‘consumer technology’ franchise.
Technology for normal people.
