Stations hire me to cover the most important thing in viewers’ lives: tech.
Television newsrooms are understaffed; fewer reporters working to fill new and expanded newscasts. I handle the ‘tech beat’. Each day in your morning meeting you’ll know that I’m covering a tech story that’s important to viewers.
The story will be ready for your producer in time for an early-evening newscast. Scripts, supers, anchor intros and tags are all uploaded to an ftp server and a Dropbox backup. I also post to a station’s Facebook and Twitter that you set up to stay consistent with your brand.
Simply download the package in HD, copy and paste the script, add the supers and you’ve got what you need for the show. Stations have found hiring me as a new reporter as a budgeted expense works best for them.
Again, “What the Tech?” is produced as if it comes out of your newsroom.
In addition to this option, there’s “The App of the Day”
“The App of the Day” syndicated segment airs 5 days a week in the newscast of your choice. Each piece is approximately 1:20 in length, leaving time for a sponsor’s billboard and commercial.
“The App of the Day” discovers and demonstrates new mobile apps for both iPhone, iPad and Android devices.
“The App of the Day” is interesting and engaging content and should be easy for sales departments to find a local sponsor.
